True Spring
A natural glow, a radiant aura, somehow they always look fresh - welcome to True Spring! This Season has a freshness and brightness to it, a glistening quality that feels like sunshine. Purely warm, this palette carries clear yellow undertones across the palette. Coral is True Spring's bread and butter and boy, does it look glorious on them.
True Spring People
True Spring people benefit from buoyancy - they tend to have a natural radiance or glow to them and can often have a sunburst pattern in the eye. True Springs need higher chroma than their warm Autumn counterparts, and unlike the adjacent Bright or Light Spring Seasons, True Spring is warm, warm, warm.
The Vibe
If Autumn is all about mustard, then True Spring is about gold. True Springs don't need as much chroma as Bright Springs, but they do need warmth and fresh, candied colors with a medium to high saturation and overall lightness compared to a Season like Winter. The Drapes
I drape clients in a red, blue, green and yellow from each Season, and the True Seasons also have a neutral. I also have luxury drapes to show the beauty of the Season and some metallics too. Learn more about the draping process.
The Palette
These beautiful color palettes, carefully curated by NDU colors, aren't comprehensive - there are thousands of colors that the human eye can see, but they are meant to show the range of dark to light and chroma that the Season can wear. We shouldn't be color 'matching' to squares when shopping, but trying to get the right overall color vibe and properties.

Suspected True Spring celebrities include Hayden Panettiere, Blake Lively, Michelle Williams and Charlize Theron amongst others.
Jewelry & Accessories
True Spring is about, you guessed it - gold! True Spring people don't benefit from cool metals like silver and platinum and can really pull off those brighter, more yellow golds and rose golds (over white gold). True Spring should gravitate towards brighter or shinier gems or stones rather than heavy-looking, dark or opaque ones, as Springs have a light quality to them and need to retain their natural 'buoyant' quality. Turquoise, coral, carnelian and topaz will all look great on a Spring.
Makeup
True Spring gets the corals, peaches and golds! Go for glossy, shiny or satin finishes. I like The Concept Wardrobe's recommendations for makeup for each Sesason.
